Functions of Union Parishad

Five-year and various periodic development plans.
Development, conservation and maintenance of rural infrastructure.
Regarding education and primary and mass education activities.
Implementation of Health, Family Planning related activities.
Take necessary actions for agriculture, fisheries and livestock and other economic development.
Take necessary actions in the control of epidemic and disaster management.
Establishment and collection of taxes, fees, tolls, fees etc.
Removing family disputes, performing necessary programs related to women and child welfare.
To take necessary initiatives and cooperation in the activities of sports, social development, culture etc.
